Ecommerce Website Design & Pricing

An ecommerce store is only as good as its checkout. Our ecommerce website design pairs beautiful product pages with a friction-free path to payment, and our pricing is fixed and published, with small shops from £800 and full stores from £1,400.

Ecommerce store design

Buy an ecommerce store that's built to sell from day one

Your ecommerce store has one job: turn visitors into paying customers. That takes more than a theme and a payment button. It needs fast, convincing product pages, a checkout people actually finish, and the search visibility to bring shoppers in to begin with.

When you buy an ecommerce store from WillowTree Web Dev, you get a complete online shop designed around your products and your customers, at a fixed price agreed before we start. We plan it, design it, build it, set up payments and delivery, and hand it over ready to take orders, with a Bolton-based team on hand whenever you need us.

Try our demo ecommerce store

This is a demo website, not a real shop. We built Mothlight, a pretend candle shop, so you can see exactly how an ecommerce store works. Browse it like a customer, then log in to the backend and run it like the owner.

What's included

Everything your ecommerce store needs to sell

Great ecommerce design is invisible: shoppers find what they want, trust what they see, and pay without a hitch. Whether you sell five products or five thousand, every ecommerce store we build comes with the essentials.

Checkout without friction

Every extra step at checkout loses sales. We strip the journey to its essentials: guest checkout, clear delivery costs and payment methods your customers already use.

Product pages that convince

Sharp photography layouts, honest descriptions, reviews and clear stock and delivery info: everything a shopper needs to click “buy” with confidence.

Built to be measured

Sales, traffic sources, abandoned baskets: your store reports what's working, so every improvement is based on numbers, not guesses.

Payments, delivery & VAT

Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, delivery zones and VAT, all set up properly so orders flow smoothly and money lands in your account without surprises.

Found on Google

Search-friendly product and category pages, product structured data and a Google Shopping-ready product feed help shoppers find your ecommerce store.

Easy to run day to day

Add products, update prices, manage stock and process orders yourself, with a proper handover and our support whenever you need a hand.

Why it works

An ecommerce store that turns browsers into buyers

Product pages that convince

Every product page answers the questions a shopper silently asks: What is it? What does it cost, delivered? Can I trust this shop? Clear photography, honest descriptions, visible reviews and delivery costs up front mean there are no surprises, because surprises kill sales. We design your categories and filters so shoppers find the right product in a couple of taps, on any device.

A checkout designed to be finished

Around seven in ten online baskets are abandoned, and most of those losses are design problems. We strip checkout to its essentials: guest checkout, the payment methods your customers already use, including digital wallets and pay-later options, and delivery costs shown before the address form. Fewer steps and fewer doubts mean more completed orders from the same traffic.

An ecommerce store found on Google

The best ecommerce store in the world won't sell if nobody finds it. Every store we build is optimised for search from launch: category and product pages written around what shoppers search for, product structured data so Google can show prices and reviews, fast mobile pages, a sitemap, and a product feed ready for Google Shopping. Analytics are wired in from day one, so you can see exactly where your sales come from.

What affects the price of an ecommerce website?

Number of products

A handful of products can be added by hand. Hundreds need categories, filters and a bulk import, which takes longer to build.

Payments and delivery

One card provider and flat-rate postage is simple. Several payment options, delivery zones, click and collect or international shipping add work.

Custom features

Subscriptions, product builders, gift cards, trade pricing and stock syncing are all possible, and each is priced individually.

Content and photography

We can work with your product photos and descriptions, or help write and organise them so every page sells and ranks.

Fixed price, ready to trade

Buy an ecommerce store with no surprises

Buying an ecommerce store shouldn't mean hidden extras or a half-finished shop. You get a clear, fixed price for a complete store, designed, built and set up, so you know exactly what you're paying before any work begins.

FAQs

Ecommerce store questions, answered

How much does an ecommerce website cost?

A small online shop with up to 5 products starts at £800, and a full ecommerce store with a product catalogue starts at £1,400. Every store is quoted at a fixed price, agreed in writing before any work starts. The final cost depends on how many products you sell, the payment and delivery options you need, and extras such as subscriptions or trade accounts.

What are the ongoing costs of an ecommerce website?

Hosting is £60 a year and a domain name is £15 a year. Your payment provider, such as Stripe or PayPal, also takes a small fee on each sale. If you'd like us to look after updates, security and changes, our care plans can be added for a fixed monthly cost.

Can I pay for my ecommerce website monthly?

Yes. Rather than paying everything up front, you can spread the cost of your store into simple monthly payments that bundle the build with hosting and care. Ask for a pay-monthly quote and we'll set out both options side by side.

Can I buy a ready-made ecommerce store?

Yes. Rather than buying a template or someone else's existing shop, with all its problems, you buy a complete ecommerce store built around your products. We handle the design, build, payments, delivery and SEO, then hand it over ready to take orders.

Which ecommerce platform will my store use?

We recommend the platform that fits your business best, based on how many products you sell, how you want to manage orders and where you plan to grow. We explain the options in plain English before we start, so there are no surprises later.

Can I add products and manage orders myself?

Absolutely. Your store is set up so you can add products, change prices, manage stock and process orders yourself, and we walk you through it all at handover. If you'd rather not, our care plans cover updates and changes for you.

Will my ecommerce store show up on Google?

Every ecommerce store we build includes SEO as standard: search-friendly category and product pages, product structured data, fast mobile performance, a sitemap and a product feed ready for Google Shopping. No honest designer can guarantee rankings, but your store launches with the strongest possible foundations.

Can you replace my existing online shop?

Yes. If your current shop is slow, hard to manage or not converting, we can rebuild it as a new ecommerce store, bring your products across and set up redirects so you keep the Google rankings you've already earned.
